In case you're wondering, the yellow egg yoke is typical all over Uganda.  We pay extra for the orange yoke egg in Kampala.  When the light colored yoke is cooked it almost turns white.  It's hard to enjoy a fried egg that is almost completely white.  You might know that my favorite part of  eating eggs is the yoke.

Ben with his parents asked us to be in a photo with them.  Ben will leave soon for his mission to Liberia.  The  picnic, program and outdoor setting reminded me of the fun reunions we used to have at Grandma and Grandpa Howlett's back yard with a lovely lawn and "be careful of the clothes line".

Ben showing the cake I made him with the Liberian flag on it.  No one had any clue what the flag was. Turns out Liberia was the first free African country and it copied it's flag after the US flag.

Agnes and Jacob were one of the couples that got married this past week.  We have been asked to transport them to the church for the wedding.

Yesterday was Njeru (pronounced n-jer-u.  The "u" is like the double oo in food) service project.

Elder Brown cleaning the slant windows of the hospital/clinic

Finding the bannister was black under the red dirt.
Normally cleaning means the floor only.  We have been trying to step up the service by cleaning walls too.  What a difference a little elbow grease on the red dirt.
Pres. Jaker sweeping out the last of the dirty water from floor

The water was a challenge as it was off in the normal faucet.   Had to drive to find a water source. and bring it to the hospital in jerry cans.
Coming to the end of the cleaning branch members start lining up for their picture taking.  Pres. Mbiro, is in the back (district Pres.) and the elders pres. is front left.
Emma is our truck washer.  He was leading a discussion at the YSA planning meeting on food for the upcoming activity.
We got such a chuckle out of him all of a sudden  pointing with his lips at the vegetable garden outside the meeting room.  Finger pointing is not as popular as lip pointing.  We had him do it again so we could get this picture.  Then everyone laughed.  The plan is to use vegetables from the garden in their meal.
