These are the Woods.  They know Uncle Jack and his kids as they're from Idaho.  They were our guests in Guru and joined got to Calebra about an hour before us.  They had all kinds of pictures of giraffe and zebras that we missed coming later.

Luckily this is fake and we've not seen any real ones

Zone conference at Mbale.  The Jacksons, Andreses and missionaries along with some branch leadership and their wives

This is our office in Kampala.  Rose is in the back as the CES secretary.  Rand is conferring with Ann who is the PEF volunteer.  She knows everything and everyone, a huge help and blessing in our life

Moving again.  Rand was exhausted hauling everything down three flights of stairs.  The missionaries helped move down the PEF desk and some of the furnishings that were to go with us to the new apartment in Jinja

Our truck backed up to the apartment we live in for a couple weeks in Kampala

We don't know what our apartment is in the Restless Development or what it means but it is pretty new and typical of Uganda
We go walking every morning along these roads
Road in front of our compound
Rand entering compound.  The guard is sitting there ready to assist.  We have a fairly long drive down to our apartment with high walls and barbed wire along the top
We usually forget the camera when we go walking in the morning.  Here is Rand loving the banana s hanging over the wall
We wonder if any of the members of the church live in this housing development not far from the Kampala highway.  We live on the other side of the highway
This is a termite mound.  This one is kind of small.  They are all over the country, probably one reason they don't build much with wood.  They don't destroy the mounds because some people harvest the termites for food.  Wonder how many you need to fill a teaspoon?
This is Brother and Sister Harris.  They used to live in Jinja and came for business.  We got to know them at the apartment in Kampala.  Sis. Harris is the mission nurse.  They took us on a drive that they liked because some times you see monkeys.  We didn't see any but we got a gorgeous view of the Jinja district
You can see Lake Victoria in the far distance
We then drove to Lake Victoria where we walked out on the pier.  We didn't use the stairs because this man was washing his clothes at the bottom of the stairs and made access very muddy
Check out the large knife sitting on the bench in front of this man.  He looked scary but when we walked back to the car I said "Hi" and he was all smiles.  What a relief
